I have installed the driver for the AudioBox USB 96. I've been working with the I/O setup and song setup, and configured mine like someone's who has the same StudioOne setup as me and it works for them. I can hear the signal in my headphones (since the headphones are plugged directly into the AudioBox USB 96) but StudioOne isn't receiving the input for some reason. I have a mic plugged into input 1 on the AudioBox USB 96. However, when I create a new instrument track and select a MIDI instrument, I cannot hear any sound being created by the instrument, although I can see the key lighting up blue when using the mouse to trigger a few notes in the on-screen keyboard.Īdditionally, I cannot hear any sound input from the AudioBox USB 96 into StudioOne. The phone monitors the impedance and when it sees it change, it identifies the button press and proceeds to take the appropriate action (skip, volume up/down, etc.Thank you so much for your response! Here's where I'm at with this:Īudio is routed IN and OUT of StudioOne through an AudioBox USB 96.Īn audio track imported to StudioOne can be heard through headphones (which are plugged into the AudioBox headphone jack).ĭoes this mean sound is being properly routed out from StudioOne to the output (AudioBox USB 96)? Note also that earbud/mic gadgets with remote-control buttons use the microphone connection to temporarily insert different resistors into the mic circuit. Headphone: You can use this port as a combination headphone and line-out port.Connect headphones (with or without a built-in microphone), self-powered speakers, or other audio equipment using a standard audio cable with a 3.5 mm metal plug. If you connect an electret microphone capsule between the sleeve and the 2nd ring, then the phone should recognize it. That indicates to the phone that earbuds (or headphones, or interface cable of some sort) has been connected. Note that if you insert a traditional TRS plug into the jack, the sleeve will "short out" the 2nd ring position. There is still practically infinite impedance between the 2nd ring and the sleeve.

Plugging in a "raw" connector is no different than nothing plugged in at all. The phone senses the impedance between the 2nd ring and the sleeve.
